Do background apps in RAM memory consume battery and use CPU in Android?

Some mobiles have the feature for self cleaning up of apps when the device is in sleep mode. But when u use ur mobile with apps in background they will consume battery. It is better to close the app once its use is over

Yes , they use battery but not that much.

Because most of the battery is consumed by display, capacitive touch, speaker, camera, and cellular modem.

So any app in background doesn't consume much battery (as battery usage is directly proportional to CPU usage.) Except CPU intensive app such as video convertors, large downloads. Moving large files between sd card and internal storage also drains battery in background.

In simple terms, apps like Facebook, whatsapp and other similar apps consume negligible battery. Poor network also drains battery.

Apps which are supposed to free ram, and internal storage, they do cleaning, but also take 50-80 mb ram eg. Cleanmaster.

So you can use a better alternative
" FAST REBOOT" A 32 KB APP available on play store, is super quick, ad free .
